How The Dollie & Me Tea Came to Be!

Some memories, are too magical to leave in childhood...so we brought ours back!

Our holiday tradition began in 2006, when we were just five years old and our moms took us to our very first holiday tea in San Francisco. We dressed up in our favorite party dresses, packed our doll tea sets and tiny faux cakes, and - of course - brought our dollies along. Little did we know an annual tradition would be born that very day.

Every December that followed, the three of us and our moms spent a magical holiday weekend in the city. We pushed our dolls in their pink strollers around Union Square, wandered along Chestnut Street, and looked forward to our favorite event of all: holiday tea!

As we grew older and put our dolls away, the tradition continued. Our teas evolved from doll-filled tables to cherished afternoons with just the five of us - soaking up the magic of Christmas in San Francisco and reminiscing about our favorite memories from teas before. And it was during one of those teas that the idea for the Dollie & Me Holiday Tea was born!

In 2021, we pitched our dream to The Westin St. Francis: a one-of-a-kind holiday tea designed for kids and their dolls. Inspired by our own childhood tradition, we imagined a magical afternoon filled with doll-sized teacups, enchanting pink décor, crafting, and holiday joy. Our mission was simple: bring the holiday magic back to Union Square and share our treasured tradition with families everywhere. In 2021, The Dollie & Me Tea was born in partnership with The Westin St. Francis.

Our first year sold out, welcoming over 250 guests across two seatings. Since then, the event has grown into a beloved (and always sold-out!) holiday tradition for the hotel and local families. In 2025, we proudly celebrated our 5th annual Dollie & Me Holiday Tea and our 19th year of our own San Francisco holiday tradition.

We are truly honored that the Dollie & Me Holiday Tea has become a special tradition for so many families. There is nothing quite like the magic of the holidays in San Francisco - especially at The Westin St. Francis!
